Fun in Athletics Fife Finals
The Fife Finals Fun in Athletics took place at Viewforth High School, winning schools from East, Central and West Fife events came together to take part in many different activities; ranging from field to track events.
The schools attending were Sinclairtown, Greyfriars, Dulloch, Kelty, Pitcoudie and St Columba’s Primary Schools who all attended the event at Viewforth High School in Kirkcaldy.
There were multiple events for both boys and girls. The Viewforth High School sports leaders were supporting the event to help gain their qualification by the end of the academic year. Each sports leader was in teams of two or three, coordinating different events. When speaking to the leaders they had observed that the children had a lot of potential. Caitlin had said: "they boys and girls were very good in the standing long jump. Some jumping over two metres.”
The event itself was a very well organised, with the Active School Coordinators giving assistance where needed. The boys relay showed Sinclairtown’s winning potential. Greyfriars travelled from St. Andrews to compete in the competition but all schools done themselves proud.
The children were all competitive, showing their eagerness throughout their performances. After all the events had finished it was time to announce the winner……
In excess of 120 pupils sat waiting to hear who had won. Everyone banging the floor as they anticipate the answer.
The wait was finally over,
Sinclairtown Primary School won!
Congratulations to Kelty PS who will join Sinclairtown PS in representing Fife at the regional finals!
